So seriously, where are you, hummingbirds? The tracking maps say you've been this far north already, so c'mon! Drop by! The feeders are stocked and fresh and ready to serve! I miss you guys! C'mon!
Okay, northward-migrating ruby-throated hummingbirds of the western hemisphere ... where are you? I know this is still just a wee bit early for you to show up on my feeder, but goshdarnit, looking at the maps, people have already seen you WAY north of here. As far up as Philadelphia and Indianapolis and Kansas City. You seem to be running a week or so ahead of schedule. I have a really, really swanky new feeder for you guys, and I worked extra hard to make some super good nectar for you. I even boiled the water, which I've never done before. Everything's ready to go. So c'mon! You won't find a more sincere hummingbird feeder than mine. Nothing but sincerity, as far as the eye can see. And I have a pretty darn nice lens on my camera to take your picture. We're all set. So c'mon! Hurry!
Hope you guys had a nice winter in Belize (because that's still where I imagine all my hummingbirds go).
Waiting expectantly,
Andrew
